West Indies levelled the series 2-2 with a 24-run win over India in the fourth T20I.

Shai Hope's Unbeaten Century

India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl first, but West Indies skipper Shai Hope made that decision look costly. Hope scored an unbeaten 102 off 50 balls and held the innings together from one end. It was his third T20I century against India, and it made him the first West Indies batter to reach three T20I hundreds.

West Indies Innings: 247/3 in 20 Overs

Sherfane Rutherford gave Hope good support at the other end, hitting a fast, unbeaten 49. Together they kept the pressure on the Indian bowlers through the final overs, and West Indies finished on 247 for 3. Prince picked up one wicket for India, conceding 36 runs.

Keemo Paul's Five-Wicket Haul: 4-0-41-5

Chasing 248, India made an aggressive start, but Keemo Paul turned the match around. He took 5 wickets for 41 runs in his four overs. Paul became the first West Indies bowler to take multiple five-wicket hauls in T20Is. Left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie also gave strong support, finishing with 2 for 13, including two wickets in consecutive deliveries.

India's Batting and Reasons for the Defeat

India were bowled out for 223, falling 24 runs short of the target. Sanju Samson gave the chase early hope with a 23-ball 56, and Tilak Varma added 43. Nitish Kumar Reddy also made a useful contribution, but the required run rate kept climbing and wickets fell at crucial moments.

After the match, Samson described Tilak Varma's dismissal as the turning point of the game. Lapses in the Indian bowling also hurt, as West Indies scored freely in the closing overs. It was West Indies' first successful defence of a total on this tour.
